Habitat Lab is Saint-Gobain’s training centre and showroom in Milan.

The highest rated LEED Platinum building in Italy, it is a laboratory for developing and monitoring new, sustainable building solutions and techniques, as well as a state-of-the-art training venue for construction professionals.

Highlights and challenges

The Habitat Lab was created by converting a 1950s cafeteria and adding a new build extension. This resulted in a high-performing, sustainable space, which is used both as an impressive training centre and a showroom for the MULTI COMFORT programme.

The project achieved CARE4 certification, and was certified by the Green Building Council as LEED Platinum status.
